Charter A One day in the tropical rainforest of Wooroonooran and Licuala Your Wet Tropics Tour driver/guide picks you up from your accommodation in Cairns or northern beaches between 7.45-8.15am. We tour south of Cairns to a variety of wetland / rainforest sites with crocodile-spotting, birding, swimming in the forest and enjoying the waterfalls. Lunch is at the famous Roscoe’s Pizzeria in Innisfail, followed by a walk through a rare, World Heritage listed fan palm (Licuala ramsayi) forest and cassowary-spotting where the rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef (similar to Cape Tribulation), returning to Cairns at 5.30-6.00pm. Charter B One day in the tropical rainforests of the Atherton Tablelands and crater lakes Your Wet Tropics Tour driver/guide picks you up from your accommodation in Cairns or northern beaches between 7.45-8.15am. We tour west of Cairns to a variety of highland rainforest / volcanic lake sites in the Atherton tablelands. We will enjoy waterfalls, swimming in secluded rainforest places, witness giant trees and ‘living fossils’ to quote Charles Darwin. The Atherton tableland has a unique volcanic history with spectacular scenery like crater lakes in the rainforest. Lunch is at the typical Tolga Hotel, returning to Cairns between 5.30-6.00pm.
